Accessibility Statement
How MoveWell meets WCAG 2.2 AA, what we have built in, known limitations and how to report a barrier.
Our approach
Movement is for everyone, so the site should be too. We test against WCAG 2.2 level AA, and we pay particular attention to the needs of older readers, who make up a meaningful share of our audience.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML: real headings, landmarks, lists and a skip link on every page.
- Keyboard access: visible focus states, a skip link and no keyboard traps.
- Contrast: body text meets or exceeds 4.5:1, and the dark-on-lime accent is used only where it passes.
- Text: body copy is 17px and scales up to 200% without loss of function; we avoid text in images.
- Images: every exercise photograph has descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Motion: transitions are short, nothing flashes, and the site respects prefers-reduced-motion.
- Forms: every field has a visible associated label and clear error messaging.
- Structure: guides use HowTo and FAQ schema that assistive tools can parse, plus a print stylesheet for gym use.
Known limitations
Third-party advertising is outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard. If an ad blocks content or traps keyboard focus, tell us the page and rough time and we will raise it with the network.
We do not currently provide audio versions of guides or captioned video demonstrations. Both are on the roadmap.
