Cookie Policy
Every cookie MoveWell sets or receives, what each one does, how long it lasts and how to change your choices.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let a site remember things between page loads — that you closed the banner, for instance — and they let analytics and advertising systems work. Similar technologies such as local storage are covered too.
The categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function: they remember your cookie choices and store any guides you save on this device. They cannot be switched off and do not track you across sites.
Analytics
Aggregated statistics about which guides are read and for how long. Set only with consent. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
Advertising
Set by Google and our other advertising partners to measure ad performance and, where you consent, to personalise ads.
Named cookies we set or receive
- movewell_consent — stores your cookie choice. Strictly necessary. 12 months.
- movewell_saved — stores guides you saved on this device. Strictly necessary (local storage). No expiry.
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — analytics, 14 months, consent required.
- Google AdSense (__gads, __gpi, IDE) — advertising, up to 13 months, consent required.
- Google Ad Manager (test_cookie, IDE) — advertising measurement, up to 13 months, consent required.
Third-party advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Opt out of personalised Google advertising: Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of third-party vendor cookies: aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google's partner sites policy explains how partners use data: google.com/policies/technologies/partner-sites.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for consent through a Google-certified CMP before setting advertising cookies, and we honour Global Privacy Platform signals where they are sent.
Managing cookies
You can change categories at any time using the cookie settings control in the footer, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking advertising cookies does not remove ads, only personalisation.
